How to get involved

One of the ways in which the project is funded is through child sponsorship. Right from the start we felt that we could establish relationships between the children here in Rwanda and supporters in the UK. The level of sponsorship currently stands at £15 and although this might seem nowhere near enough money to support a child for a month, much of the world’s population is living on “a dollar a day” which calculates to not much more than our sponsorship income! The administration of the sponsorship money is supported by the George Muller Trust in Bristol, UK (www.mullers.org) and further information about the project can be obtained from the UK coordinator Stewart Johns whose e-mail address is stewart.johns@virgin.net

Containers are sent from the UK by Medical Missionary News (www.mmncontainers.com) who are based in Essex. These bring a variety of items for the project which include children’s clothes, shoe-box gifts, tools and sewing machines. There are many other financial aspects of the project that would welcome involvement such as building and buying accommodation for the families of orphans, support with wages for the staff as well as sponsorship of orphans.
